If you're in Tuscaloosa and you want to find a place to unwind and play some pool or darts, Houndstooth is the place you're looking for. There is a good beer selection and ice cold beer on tap. Monday night you can find free pool, Tuesday night is pint night, Wednesday night you can compete in the best trivia in town, Thursday night is BINGO night, and Friday and Saturday are filled with great times with great people. There are three pool tables, 2 traditional dart boards, and 2 electronic dart boards. You have to be 21 to enter, and the bar is closed on Sundays.

Went there on a tuesday and it was still decently busy at midnight. Good drink deals (i got a blue moon, which was draft-not bottled). And randomly served mini cupcakes that night! The bartender was friendly without being creepy

This is probably my favorite bar on the strip. They make their drinks well, have pool, and pretty damn good food. If youre new to Tuscaloosa or just visiting, this is the place you should go.

Great Bar! Everytime I visit I go here. The Crawfish boil is delicious and unlimited when they have it. You are allowed to smoke while you enjoy your cocktail. For non smokers you can enjoy the patio if it isn't too capacity, this place is very popular! Great Place

The drinks are always amazing here and the staff is always polite and attentive. This bar definitely wins for the largest restroom I never have to wait in line to use the restroom at this bar. I think they have a TV on every inch of wall space in this place and if you ask them to change it they don't mind. The bathrooms are constantly looked after and kept clean. There's great outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside along with pool tables and bar space. We'll kept all around. Definitely recommend this place for big parties!! If they ever have a crawfish boil. Don't miss it!! I have been a few times and the crawfish are always amazing!! Great bar all around

Love the large selection of brown and that the bartenders have an extensive knowledge base to match when it comes to drink selection. One big surprise was the food. After tasting the fries, I went into instant fat kid mode. The burger I ordered was great, prepared to perfection and then match with fries with a simple yet bold seasoning blend. For nice vibes, great food, and if you're mature enough to appreciate darker alcohol this is the place for you for sure.

The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming, whether it’s game day or just a regular night out. The service is top-notch, and Olivia, the manager, does an amazing job making sure everything runs smoothly. She’s friendly, professional, and truly cares about the customers. The staff is great, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the pool tables and outdoor seating make it a perfect spot to hang out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time!

The Houndstooth is a staple sports-bar in Tuscaloosa, anchored on University Blvd and well known among locals and fans alike. With a strong reputation for its lively game-day energy, it pulls in crowds especially when the Tide plays.  One of its biggest strengths is the number of TV screens — you’re unlikely to miss a play wherever you sit.  The staff tend to get praise for friendliness and helpfulness, and many patrons treat it like a “go-to” for watching big games.  The patio space offers some relief, especially when the indoor area is packed.

Stopped by here for lunch and a few drinks after A Day. Loved it! The Pink Elephant drink is a must try!!
